A revolutionary woman
Hi guys,
when i read the topics of this post I was terrified馃槚 because I don’t use too
much science websites and a I didn’t have a person to admired so I searched a
person in forensic area but I didn’t find anyone which I admire but when I was
to surrendering I finded a post of France Glessner Lee.
France Glessner
Lee was a multimillionaire woman that revolutionizes the forensic science. She
born on March 25th, 1878 in Chicago, EE.UU in a family which prohibited
her study in the university because she was women馃槧 but that didn’t prevent her
go to the university, she wait to dead of her brother and father for study in
university. She was a fan of Sherlock Holmes馃攳 and loved the world of homicide investigation,
so she studied criminalistics in Boston.
Lee founded
the legal medicine department of Harvard with fifty-two years馃懙 and the work of
her life was “Estudios acotados de muertes inexplicables”, this is a series of small
dollhouses馃彔 that represent a complicated crimes scenes that was analyzed by criminalistics
students.
I think
that she is an important woman in forensic world, she is the one of first womans
I forensic world, so I admire her for that. She opened el forensic world to
